Death of Irving Penn.

22571No doubt the fashion world has lost one of its pioneers and outstanding contributors, the painter and photographer Irving Penn, who was the first to submit a merger between photography and painting that made him stand out in the media where he did his work .

Irving Penn, was one of the most renowned fashion photographers and artistic ones in the U.S. media. His passion for photography made him stand out in the fashion world, just as his talent for painting portraits of famous being well known and priced in the art world.

Born in 1917 in his beloved city of New York and died at the age of 92, as


announced by Peter Mac Guill, an acquaintance of the family of the photographer and painter, but do not know the causes of its demise officially.

Penn's work is internationally recognized and specimens have been exhibited in various galleries in the United States. Similarly, his work has been exhibited in books where fashionistas can enjoy photography and his art.

Multifaceted work:

Penn had a way of working that did not accept molds or patterns, was free to express in his art what he wanted at the time. He could portray personalities and then move on to work with characters completely anonymous.

His work in the world of fashion was outstanding, he is remembered by setting forth his photographs of Paris fashion and its models. They are also known to nude photographs of artists such as Kate Moss.

He worked for the U.S. fashion magazine Vogue, where he was responsible for the covers of several editions, one in his first cover it managed to sell more than they expected.

He was elected to photograph prominent figures from around the world, including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Salvador Dalí, the writer TS Elliot. He also noted for his photographs to artists in vogue.

Today it rests in peace Irving Penn, but his work will live forever in the world of fashion.
